Metro-Musketeers Angling Club was set up in july 2005 by three bus drivers and had its first full year running as an angling club in 2006.
It has grown at a fast rate due mainly to the atmosphere of the club and its great members who are willing to help anyone out and love a friendly good days fishing.
The club has recently started getting good press coverage and offer all their matches as opens meaning that anyone is welcome to enter a match.
Preference will be given to musketeers members and to become a member , there is a £10 adult fee and £5 junior as from the 2008 season which will give these members priority booking on matches and guests will be allowed to book in if any spaces left after 1 week from the last match.
the funds raised will go towards improving the club.
The club would like to see more women and children coming to their events and they try to issue pegs next to one and other for father and son etc in order to help keep fishing a great day for all and some matches include a barbacue etc.
MONEY RAISED TO DATE FOR CHARITY £1,355.00
Anyone wishing to donate items for after match raffles or winning prizes would be most welcomed by the club and this will be noted on their website metro-musketeers as well as mentioned on the day and included within any media coverage of that match.
The club also have a monthly newsletter of approx 500 copies which are available to members, tackle shops and fisheries and they will advertise anyones logo and details who sponsor items or monies for the club that month. there is also a quarterly magazine with all the latest match and news coverage for the club which is distributed to bus garages of approx 2,500 copies.
All donations help lead to monies raised for charity and and encouraging more people into fishing
